Chocolate Devastation It Is!!
On Nov. 30, North Branford Patch turns one and we're going to celebrate with free cake and coffee at Pastry Fusions.
Updated Nov. 29
The polls have closed and the results are in! North Branford Patch readers were asked to choose what kind of birthday cake we'd celebrate with on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Pastry Fusions.
And the winner is......chocolate devastation with 55 percent of the votes!
Pastry Fusions' website descibes the cake as its signature cake. It's a "Chocolate cake filled with alternating layers of chocolate ganache and chocolate mousse, then frosted with a chocolate whipped cream."
I don't know about you, but it sounds pretty delicious to me! I hope you'll all be able to come join me for a slice of this decadent treat and a cup of coffee tomorrow!
Updated Nov. 27
With North Branford Patch's birthday just days away, we are in the final days of voting for what kind of cake will be served at our birthday party. Chocolate devastation leads the poll right now with 59 percent of the votes.
Of 22 voters, 13 have chosen Chocolate Devastation, while White Chocolate Truffle Cake and Peanut Butter Mousse have four votes apiece. Rainbow Layer is holding on with one vote. There's still time to cast your vote.
And remember to come by Pastry Fusions on Wednesday, Nov. 30 between 3 and 5 p.m. to say 'Hi' and celebrate one year of North Branford Patch.
Original story (Nov. 19)
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear North Branford Patch!
Happy birthday to you!
On Nov. 30, 2010, North Branford Patch launched and on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, we're going to celebrate one year of Patchiness at Pastry Fusions in North Branford.
Frank Apuzzo is going to bake us up a birthday cake so come on down from 3 to 5 p.m. and have a piece of cake and a cup of coffee on North Branford Patch.
North Branford Patch wouldn't be what it is without you so I would like to take this time to thank you for not only reading, but sharing your comments, events, stories and photos with the community.
I look forward to meeting you and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the site. I'll have my computer on hand so if you've always wondered how to post an announcement, share an event or start a blog in our Local Voices section, I'd be happy to show you.
Now all that's left to do is make the most important decision of all–what kind of cake will Frank make? I've narrowed down an amazing selection of about 20 types of cakes to four so place your vote so you can enjoy your favorite when you come in to say 'Happy birthday.'
