Saturday's action saw the CT Slam in a back and forth game vs the Shoreline Hammerheads that was called in the 3rd inning due to rain. At the time the game was stopped the CT Slam was trailing the Hammerheads 3 to 5 with runners on first and third. Austin Gibilisco headed the offense with a triple and an RBI. While Kyle Pedersen and Matt Sibley also contributed RBI's. The defense was lead by solid pitching from Matt Sibley and Joseph Murphy.
Sunday the CT Slam beat the West Haven Titans 11 to 5. Zach DiPentima lead the offense with a double and scoring two runs. Also getting hits were Matt Sibley, Phil Jaccobs, Christen Diaz, Nolan Greene and Steven Diaz. Tommy Lawlor scored twice while Joe Murphy, Dylan Brockett and Austin Fletcher provided runs for the CT Slam. On the mound for the Slam Zach DiPentima, Christen Diaz and Phill Jaccobs threw a combined 7 strikeouts to lead the defense.
Next up the CT Slam will be playing the CT Nationals 10/1/12 at the CT Sportsplex at 6:00pm
