Anna Liffey's Hosts "Save the Parade" Event

Anna Liffey’s has joined forces with The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee and is holding an Irish Beer Fair and Tasting on Friday, September 6 at 6 pm. Frank Cullimore, manager at New Haven’s oldest Irish Pub, is working with the Parade Committee to bring a variety of samples of the best Irish beers from here and across the pond.

Ask anyone where the best St. Patrick’s Day parade in New England is and they’ll invariably answer “New Haven.” New Haven’s St. Patrick’s Day parade, which began in 1842, is New England’s oldest St. Patrick’s Day parade and draws the largest crowds of any one-day spectator event in Connecticut. Despite its popularity, funds are needed to help save the parade as it is a very costly event!   Anna Liffey’s,  located at 17 Whitney Avenue, will have music from Relative Souls and Vudu Sister, food from their award winning Irish bar and restaurant, and a charity raffle to help mitigate the costs associated with such a large-scale event.

The price of $15 includes beer, food, and whiskey samples.  Further information available from Frank Cullimore, email AnnaLiffeysLive@gmail.com; tel: 203=773-1776 or visit www.stpatricksdayparade.org.
