East Haven Man Greets Police With Machete, Gets Tased

Man refused to drop the machete, police say.

When East Haven police officers come to interview you about an alleged harassment complaint, you could do what most people do, which is simply answer their questions, or you could do what Langdon Johnson, 48, is accused of.

Johnson is accused of entering into another room and grabbing a machete, the New Haven Register and WTNH News 8 report.

Making matter much worse, Johnson allegedly refused to drop the machete and was tased by officers.

He was taken into custody.

Officer(s) are very lucky. Close quarters and a swinging machete, this man is lucky he was only tased. In my time no such thing. That leaves the man taking 2 rds into the center chest. Case closed.

Appreciate the more elaborate commentary on this arrest. Makes the police blotter reading more interesting. Good work Brian.

Lots of restraint shown by our "abusive officers".. Glad the good guys came out on top.
