The 2012 crowns–and Potato Heads–went to four invaluable volunteers who helped to make this year's fest a success. The crowns and and Potato Heads were passed down from last year's Royal Court.
2011 Prince Willy Taylor and his wife Princess Karen Ablondi, who earned their titles by sweating it out parking cars last year, handed down their royal wares to another husband-and-wife duo–Elisa and Dennis Pannone.
Elisa Pannone has been in charge of the food vendors for the last five years, fielding questions, concerns and complaints; while .

Last year's king, Kyle Mezerewski, was not able to make the festival, but 2011 Queen Jackie Folz crowned the 2012 King and Queen.
Pam Gery, North Branford's recreation director, earned the Queen title. Gery, who took over at North Branford after working in Westbrook more than 10 years ago, brought the Potato and Corn Festival to North Branford, running the event for the first 10 years.
Folz then crowned Pete Deyo as the 2012 king. Deyo, owner of , which is based in Northford. He has worked endlessly on making signs for the festival as well as donating a great portion of them. In addition to the sign, Deyo worked the entire weekend at the Potato Booth–and he always has a smile on his face!
