Snowtober in North Branford and Northford

Despite the picturesque scenery, many are dealing with power outages.

The around noon on Saturday and it certainly piled up. 

Though many lost power, there were no major outages by 10 p.m. on Oct. 29, according to Town Manager Richard Branigan. Wallingford Electric was working on individual issues.

"The Department of Public Works forces were back Sunday afternoon to finish cleaning up after trees removed from power lines," said Branigan. "Fire, police and Public Works did a great job dealing with incredible conditions."

According to Fire Chief William Seward, "Wallingford has a shelter opened at Sheehan High School on Hope Hill Road that can be used by town residents and Wallingford Electric continues to work on restoring power in Northford."

For estimated restore times for UI customers, call center 800-7-callUI. Representatives will give any info that is available; however;  if there aren’t estimated times, UI expectst to have all customers restored by midnight on Monday.

There are also reports that AT&T and Comcast are out in the Northford section of town.
