La Boheme Holiday Concert

Hillhouse Opera Company (HOC) will present a special holiday concert version of Puccini’s La Boheme on Friday, December 16, 2011 at 8:00 p.m.

The simplified encore of HOC’s November 12 performance will delight audiences at First Congregational Church of West Haven, One Church Street West Haven, CT 06516, and will feature a slightly altered cast with soprano Sarah Heisler as Mimi and soprano Katherine La Porta as Musetta. Tenor Daniel Juarez and baritone Michael Trnik will reprise their roles as Rodolfo and Marcello. In addition, Bass Baritone Joshua Lara and Baritone Gerry Holmes will return in the roles of Colline and Schaunard, and HOC Music Director Perry Price will once again conduct a full size orchestra.

With an opening scene that takes place on Christmas Eve, La Boheme delivers a winter wonderland of glorious music and romantic stories. The holiday opera is perfect for families or couples seeking a night out. Come experience the heart-warming story of two couples and their journeys together as the seek comfort, beauty and hope in the midst of a harsh economy similar to our own.
