On Tonight: The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business, Celebrity Apprentice and The Comedy Awards

Tonight it's reality TV and some laughs.

Sunday, April 10

The Amazing Race: Unfinished Business, 8 p.m., CBS

I was never a fan of Luke and his mom. I found him whiny and sort of mean and she was totally the enabler. That said, of course I cried two weeks ago when they were booted, and frankly, if you didn’t at least tear up then, I think you need some help. The poor kid literally drank all but three cups of tea that were on that table – even the waiters felt bad for him! (How great was that, the waiters, the band, all hugging him?) That was brutal. It was a very emotional episode, and I loved the Globetrotters paying their respects to Marge and Luke near the end.

Celebrity Apprentice, 9 p.m., NBC

Of all the great moments in last week’s episode – and my goodness it was like an Easter basket full of great moments – the best one by far was when Marlee Matlin said, “Um, yeah. Excuse me? Fire someone.” Second best was when she then said, “Um, yeah. Not Gary Busey.” Third best was interpreter guy crying. The Meatloaf meltdown fell far short, but the Meat-Busey reconciliation was great in that they both said they had gone through anger management. Clearly more effective for some than others.

The Comedy Awards, 10 p.m., Comedy Central

They taped this in January, so they could edit out all the filthy parts. Among the presenters: Jon Stewart, Andy Samberg, Olivia Munn, Stephen Colbert, Bill Hader, Will Ferrell, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey and Two and a Half Men’s Jon Cryer. This should be awesome. Or painful. Could go either way.
