The pubs and pizza shops in our backyard are getting ready for the Super Bowl Sunday rush.

It's that time of year again. While the Giants and Patriots are getting geared up at Lucas Oil Stadium for Super Bowl XLVI, we're getting geared up in our team's jersey and cracking open a cold one.

A lucky few may be heading to Indianapolis to rage with other die-hard fans in face paint and costumes, but the rest of us are camping out with the neighbors and friends in the living room. That means snacks–a lot of snacks. Luckily for Connecticut residents, the pizza parlours are ubiquitous.

In preparation for game day, Papa John’s has purchased a staggering two million pounds of cheese and 350,000 pounds of pepperoni to prepare for the Super Bowl rush, according to MSNBC. The locally owned shops in North Branford are dealing with Super Bowl Sunday in their own ways.

, owner , is preparing Super Bowl Sunday specials with five pizzas for the price of four, five grinders for the price of four, or four stuffed bread for the price of three. Abate, a Giants fan, says the night can get pretty crazy, but that the majority of the business that night is take-out orders.

is serving up hot wings, stuffed bread, party pizzas, 5-foot subs and all your party snack needs. , another Giants fan, says he’ll be stocked up on ingredients by this Friday to prepare for the influx of take out orders on Saturday and Sunday.
