Last night at the Northford Ice Pavillion, many fans came out in to support the North Branford Thunderbirds hockey team as they took on their SCC rival Daniel Hand. Last time North Branford played Daniel Hand was on December 15th and they lost 3-4 in a very close game.
Goalie Kyle Saroka had many great saves. North Branford scored two short-handed goals in the third period to lead them to a 3-1 victory. This was a very evenly matched game between the two teams Daniel Hand has a record of 5-3-2 and the T-Birds have a record of 7-2 with a recent big victory over Trumball 3-2.
Both teams went in the game with great motivation. Goals were scored by Dylan Podbielski and Alec Martone. The T-Birds are now 3-0 in the SCC league. North Branford pulled away with a 3-1 lead to defeat their SCC rival Daniel Hand. The T-Birds take on Suffield/Granby/Windsor Locks on Saturday January 19th at 4:45 at the Northford Ice Pavillion.

Keep up the good work! Dylan and Alec are fantastic players on the Ice! When I had them as students in 5th grade years ago, they also were outstanding in the classroom with the Academics. Mr.Dwyer
