The North Branford T-Birds hockey team recently played Milford Co-op, losing 4-3 in overtime. In the first period, Nick Johnson and Adam Burkle each scored goals. Freshman Adam Burkle scored his first varsity goal against Milford Co-op! Congrats to Adam!
In the second period, Milford scored two to tie it. In the third period Milford scored an early goal to lead 3-2, but the T-Birds came back with a goal by Alec Martone.
The T-Birds stand at a current record of 11-5-1 and with three regular-season games left, the season is winding down. The T-Birds have their last home game of the season tonight, February 20, at the Northford Ice Pavilion at 6 p.m. It is senior night and the T-Birds are playing Newtown. Newtown currently has a record of 9-9.
The seniors on the T-Birds hockey team are Kris Marra,Nik Castaldi,Dylan Podbielski and Kyle Saroka, Best of Luck to all of you in your future endeavors!! Please come out and support the team tonight!
