North Branford Hockey Ties Newington/Berlin 1-1 after 8 minutes of overtime to earn a 10-3-1 record. The T-Birds play New Milford Wednesday February 6th at 8:00pm at Canterbury High School,Drady Rink.
North Branford T-Birds hockey went into overtime against Newington/Berlin, they tied them 1-1. Senior Nik Castaldi scored the T-Birds goal in the first period of the game,this was a very well played game by both teams.
The defensive lines of Kris Marra and Nik Castaldi, along with Brendan Appi and Nick Johnson did a great job of restraining Newington/Berlin from entering our defensive zone. Offensively Mark Russo, Jordan Glenn,Dylan Podbielski, Alec Martone, Jordan Mouning and Nick Pascarelli did a great job.Neither team scored after 8 minutes of overtime so the game ended 1-1.
The T-Birds take on New Milford tomorrow night February 6th at Canterbury School, Drady Rink at 8:00pm. New Milford has a record of 7-3-1, and North Branford has a record of 10-3-1. The T-Birds are looking to secure a few more victories before entering the state tournament.
