I'm sure many of you find yourself asking this question quite often! I know we ask it in our home, well, I should say my husband does since he does most of the cooking! It's not that I am a horrible cook, but I work nights so I am not home to cook mediocre meals for my family!
I recently found an online company that will help organize your weekly meals! You can sign up for a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month membership for a nominal fee and what you get is a dinner menu e-mailed to you every week! (You can also add on breakfast and lunch for an additional fee). You also have the option of choosing the type of diet you would like, ie. clean eating, classic meals, gluten free and low fat just to name a few! (click here for sample menus!)
So, what you will get in the beginning of the week is a list of your meals for the week with a recipe to prepare each meal and a list of ingredients! Your ingredients list is created so that you can print it out and take it right to the grocery store! It is even grouped together by departments and coordinated with the weekly sales at selected stores! You can also choose your favorite grocery store and at anytime you can change your type of diet!
We are hoping that the planning ahead will keep us from those last-minute run to the store for dinner items! Because you know there will also be a lot of other "impulse" buys that go along with those trips! Plus, with my husband being home to take care of both kids and prepare dinner, it might make evenings a little less stressful! Oh, and maybe I will actually make a yummy meal!
