Accumulating Snow Possible Thursday Night…

A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will begin to take shape Thursday evening giving us some heavy rain and possibly some heavy wet snow.

Today will be the calm before the storm. Clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon, with light rain expected for your Thursday. Rain will become heavier during the evening and overnight hours. Thursday night temperatures may get cool enough that we may see some heavy wet snow on the ground for your Friday morning. Weekend plans are looking rain and snow free.

NOTE: This storm system is quite dynamic. Any shift in track and/or intensity will drastically change the forecast. Please stay tuned for additional updates.

Today: Mostly cloudy by afternoon. High in the upper-40s. There is a slight chance for an overnight rain or snow shower. Any precipitation will be very light. Overnight low near the freezing mark.

Thursday: Expect cloudy skies with rain showers likely. Precipitation will be light during the day. High in the upper-40s. A rapidly developing storm system with begin to take shape off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Look for rain to pick up in intensity during the overnight hours with some heavy wet snow mixing in. Rain and snow may be heavy at times.

Friday: Rain, mixing with some wet snow during the morning. Rain and snow may be heavy at times. Some snow accumulation possible. Look for a few breaks of sunshine during the afternoon hours. High will be on the cool side in the upper-30s. Winds will also be gusty at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

Saturday: Expect mostly cloudy skies with daytime highs still a little on the cool side in the upper-40s.

Sunday: Look for partly cloudy skies with highs near 50 degrees.
