Congrats to the North Branford Readers' Choice Winners!

At the end of June, Patch introduced our summer edition of Readers' Choice, giving residents from North Branford and surrounding towns including Branford, Clinton, East Haven, Guilford, Madison and North Haven a chance to pledge their love for their favorite businesses by .

For the next two weeks, nominations were accepted and . The polls closed on Aug. 17 and the winners were decided. North Branford and Northford residents certainly showed their hometown pride as local shops and services came out on top in seven categories!

With three categories receiving no votes (,  and ) that meant North Branford took home 1/3 of the 2012 Readers' Choice titles in the regional competition against six other towns!

So who earned the big awards?  Here's a rundown of our local winners along with some comments from the nomination period:

Northford for their fresh sweet corn and their super tomatoes in July and in August. Country Farms I on Middletown Ave. is also a fantastic farm market for all of fresh fruits and vegetables.
