Tell Me How Your Child Shines!

Know a great kid who earned honors or someone who has given back to the community? Nominate them to be our next Patch Whiz Kid.

North Branford Patch is always seeking suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. We want to hear about these amazing children and teens and select one each week as the Patch Whiz Kid.

A Whiz Kid can be any age and accomplishments can be anything from awards or improvements, helping others, sports successes, volunteering or learning something new.

Submit your nomination in our comment box below or e-mail the information to jenn.mcculloch@patch.com. Be sure to include all of the following information

  • Nominator's Name
  • Whiz Kid's Name
  • Whiz Kid's Age
  • Whiz Kid's School
  • Whiz Kid's Accomplishment
  • Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?)

For questions, e-mail jenn.mcculloch@patch.com.

My daughter Sofia won 1st place for her fire prevention poster for 4th grade. I was kind of disappointed that the school or town didnt acknowledge the winners in any way, or if they did I never knew about it. We worked together to create a really good poster for the contest.
