The National Weather Service says that North Branford and other shoreline communities in Connecticut could experience some bad weather before summer ends on Saturday.
The National Weather Service issued this hazardous weather statement Sunday:
The latest forecast models continue to show an intensifying low pressure system moving northeast across the Ohio Valley Tuesday and up into the upstate of new York Tuesday night ... eventually passing to the north across eastern Canada on Wednesday. A strong cold from associated with the storm will through the area on Wednesday. There is the potential for a significant amount of rainfall, strong winds, and severe weather from this storm Tuesday into Wednesday. In addition, there could also be an episode of coastal flooding.
Still, there is some room for hope that the forecast may change:
There is still some uncertainty with the intensity and track of the storm system, and there are likely to be changes to the forecast in coming days.
So keep an eye on the forecast this coming week and we'll bring up updates as well.
