What's Cookin'? Pasta with Gorgonzola Sauce

This is certainly one of my favorite meals at the moment.

In case I haven't mentioned it before, I love pasta, though I do like to change things up once in a while and try different kinds of sauces. Whenever I'm out to eat, any type of cheese sauce tends to jump out at me so I thought I'd give one a try on my own.

Having gone grocery shopping, I actually had picked up some bits to try out a gorgonzola tomato sauce. I pulled out some other things that seemed like they'd help make a good base and started putting them all together.

This was quick and easy and it turned out delicious, if I do say so myself! And making it even better was a loaf of roasted garlic ciabatta bread. Yum!

  • Gorgonzola Cheese
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Lemon Juice
  • White Wine
  • Asparagus
  • Chicken

What to Do: Saute the onion in butter, garlic and white wine. Once it was softish, add can of diced tomato and the gorgonzola cheese, stirring it until it melted. Next was the asparagus and the chicken (the Perdue short cuts may not be the best, but they sure are easy). When the asparagus was ready, take it off the heat and let it set for a minute and then serve over pasta.
