Outer Island Art Experience: A Wave of Workshops

A series of art workshops will be held on Saturday, July 19th on Outer Island.  There will be 3 workshops offered, designed for teens and adults. Please register for one of the following:

1. Photography and Microscopy with Kelley Fryer, photo journalist for Shoreline Publishing, from 7 am – 9:30 am.   Bring a digital camera.

2.  Intro to Watercolor with Wiley Carr, Professor of Fine Arts at SCSU, from 10 am – 2:00 pm.  Supplies will be provided.

3.  Sketching with Mike DiGiorgio, nature artist, from 3:00 pm – 6:00pm. Bring sketch pad, 2B and 4B pencils, and binoculars would be helpful. (http://www.natureartists.com/michael_digiorgio.asp )

Each registrant may register for one workshop (Photography, Watercolor or Sketching).   *Space is limited.

Registration includes a $10 donation to the Friends of Outer Island to defray ferry and event costs.  The Thimble Island Ferry will leave promptly from the Stony Creek Dock at 6:30 am for the Photography and Microscopy Workshop, 9:30 am for the Intro to Watercolor Workshop and 2:30 pm for the Sketching Workshop.  For directions to the Stony Creek Dock see:  http://www.thimbleislandsferry.com/
