Patch’s Poll: Who Has Had the Best Speech from the Republican National Convention So Far?

Some key politicians and influential speakers, from Paul Ryan to Ann Romney to Chris Christie, have spoken at the 2012 RNC in the lead-up to Mitt Romney’s speech tonight.

Presidential nominee Mitt Romney is scheduled to close the Republican National Convention on Thursday with the final speech of the three-day event.

The speech is being billed as the “defining moment” of the convention, as reported by CNBC, when Romney will have to convince the country that he has what it takes to defeat President Barack Obama in November.

But there are several other speeches that lead up to today since the convention’s start on Tuesday. Observers and media personalities spoke highly of vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, Ann Romney, the presidential candidate's wife, and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, among other people.

The New York Times has conventiently listed some of the top speeches on its website.

So, we ask, who has had the best speech from the Republican National Convention so far? Take our poll and share your thoughts in the comments.

@DHHS1971 glad to see your high school education has gotten you so far. I have little respect for people who can't seem to leave highschool, but maybe you're just still living with Mom and Da. That's OK. The Republican racist dog whistle was blowing throughout the convention. Please bringing up senators from 1964? Most peole who give speeches use teleprompters, even non politicians. The Republican party is racist, anti women, anti gay, anti hispanic and anti muslim. That's OK. No ned to deny it, your platform has embrassed it. Your delegates proved it with the peanut throwing incident. The Republican brand or the American Taliban if you wish is fine for you but for most of us it is the wrong direction. America is becoming a brown non christian country and the Republican party has been left behind.

Looks like I "ruffled" your feathers, Rosie. That was not my intent, but whatever. You say it's your right, as it is everyone's right to post here unencumbered. You should look then at the main "antagonist" not a first "responder" ......This Jacobo gets free reign to belittle anyone not of "her" ilk. Why, because her repartee is sooo witty? Someone says Doreen IS Jacobo, and I find it completely plausible. Right down to her "defenders" many of whom never uttered a sentence on Patch prior to now. Let me make this clear, as it is my right to post here as well as yours, I say again, I think this IP.address person is on to something. My opinion is that Doreen and Becki both use fake names each for their own amusement. To say things in a way neither would otherwise put their name to. You are FREE to comment and say what you want, we ALL are. P.S. I am not Luigi....... but again, feel free!

Luigi, Allow me to state again that I am NOT Jacobo Arbenz. Although I have nothing against the person using the name, I do not want anyone to make that assumption. I have NO reason to use a fake name. I wish everyone was required to, in order to post here. I stand by the courage of my convictions and speak my mind, using my own name. While I still find it humorous that folks put so much thought into this, it is important to me, that I attempt to make this point clear. I have no idea who this "IP..." person is. I do find it a tad stalkerish and creepy that someone has been noticing my posts so much (here and on facebook, they say) as to lead them to make assumptions about me.

Excuse the Freudian slip above, where I called you "Luigi". (This is the problem with the ability to use fake names... )
