< Two Months to Decide

Did you know that in less than two months you and your neighbors will have the opportunity to choose the direction of our town?

Election Day is November 5th!

Although 2013 is considered an “off year” and turnout of typically lower, it is not any less important. This Election Day you will be voting for your Town Council and Board of Education members.

There are a number of candidates to choose from this year; each with their own vision, their own ideas, and their own strengths. Whether you are Republican, Democrat or registered Unaffiliated, I urge you to research each candidate. Learn about what each can contribute in terms of character and talent, then vote!

This spring, I announced that I would like to run for the North Branford Board of Education. I was thrilled when the Republican Party voted and chose to endorse me at July’s caucus. The response and support I have received from the community has been overwhelming. With over 150 people on my Facebook page, Colby O’Rourke “Parents on Board”, I have been able to spark discussions and share information with many parents and caregivers. A recent spike in activity on my page has shown that more town members are joining to learn more about what I can offer the Board of Education, and the community.

My campaign focuses on three principles.
