27-Year-Old North Branford Resident Dies In North Haven Motorcycle Crash

Nelson Cecarelli Jr., 27, died in a motorcycle crash on June 1.

Nelson Cecarelli Jr., 27, of North Branford died in a motorcycle crash in North Haven Saturday night. 

On Saturday at around 9:30 p.m., Nelson Cecarelli Jr., 27, of Northford, who was driving his motorcycle, collided with a car around the intersection of North Hill Road and Middletown Ave in North Haven, according to WTNH. Cecarelli was ejected from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead on scene, according to WTNH.

Cecarelli was a lifelong North Branford resident who attended North Branford schools and earned some college credit at Gateway Community College, according to his obituary. He worked on the Cecarelli family farm and was currently working as a truck driver for Severance Trucking Company, according to the obituary.

Cecarelli is survived by his parents, Nelson and Georgene Cecarelli, his sister, Jenna Cecarelli, and her son, Dustin, according to his obituary. He loved talking long walks with his dog, Lexi, riding his motorcycle and was particularly close to his nephew, Dustin.
