Clear a Hydrant, Save a Life

The North Branford Fire Department is asking for your help in uncovering the town's 233 fire hydrants.

The North Branford Fire Department is asking residents to assist them in clearing many of the 233 fire hydrants in town. Each of the hydrants are marked with reflective patriotic colored flags which were installed as part of an Eagle Scout project by town resident Daniel Cassidy.

Allowing firefighters to locate a positive source of water in the early stages of fire incidents drastically improves operations effectiveness and efficiency and, most importantly, can minimize the damage caused by fire.
