November Numbers from the NBPD
The North Branford Police Department releases its November stats.
While the December meeting of the North Branford Police Commission focused on staffing vacancies, the did report the following numbers for the month of November.
- 753 calls for service
- 14 criminal arrests
- 40 traffic accidents (4 with injuries)
- 44 motor vehicle summons
- 28 written warnings
- 1 DUI
- 3 burglaries
- 77 burglar alarms (all false)
Open Positions at the NBPD
The Police Commission then went into executive session to interview six candidates for two open positions with the North Branford Police Department. These were the final six candidates remained after the , fitness test and written test.

The commission is now performing background investigations on the candidates they are interested in. Lieutenant David D’Ancicco reported that the hiring decision for the entry level officers is expected to be made by Jan. 1.
