Pair Charged After Stealing Baby Formula

Two individuals were charged with larceny after reportedly stealing baby formula from Big Y in North Branford.

Following a thorough investigation by a patrol officer, two individuals were charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

James Mauro, 29 of Williams Street, West Haven, and Jamie Corso, 28, of Hodder Drive, Hamden, allegedly stole baby formula from the on March 24. The investigation reported that Mauro entered the store and took baby formula totaling $180.30 and left the store without paying. He then allegedly entered a vehicle being operated by Corso.

Both individuals were given a court date of May 3 in New Haven and released on a written promise to appear, however, both individuals were wanted by Guilford Police for similar charges and were turned over to the Guilford Police Department following their arrests.
