Police Blotter: Oct. 4 to Oct. 11

The following arrest information was supplied by the North Branford Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Disorderly Conduct, Threatening, Assault and Strangulation

Fredick P. Mott, 64, of Holly Mar Hill Road, North Branford, was arrested for disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, threatening and second-degree strangulation at 12:12 a.m. on Oct. 4 after police had to force entry into his home during a reported domestic dispute.

A 911 call that came in just after midnight prompted police to respond to the Holly Mar Hill Road residence. Police forced entry into the house after repeated attempts to have the man open the front door went unanswered, according to the report.

Criminal Violation of Criminal Restraining Order

Carlos Berrios Sr., 37, of Whalley Avenue, New Haven, was arrested for criminal violation of a standing criminal restraining order at 9 a.m. on Oct. 4.

Reckless Driving and More

David W. Powers, 46, of South Street, Fairfield, was arrested for improper passing, disregarding officer’s signal (engaging), reckless driving, operation under suspension, failure to display plate/sticker and operating/towing an unregistered motor vehicle at 5:11 p.m. on Oct. 4.

Criminal Violation of a Protective Order

Joseph T. Messina, 24, of Mansfield Drive, Northford, was arrested for criminal violation of a protective order at 3:25 a.m. on Oct. 8.

Failure to Appear

Niki M. Zachreson, 30, of Flat Rock Road, Branford, was arrested for first-degree failure to appear at 12:52 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Breach of Peace

Thomas Prete, 18, of McMahon Lane, North Branford, was arrested for second-degree breach of peace at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Possession of Marijuana

Joseph Messina, 24, of North Branford, and Erica Riccitelli, 20, of North Haven, were charged with possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana following a traffic stop on Oct. 8.

Simple Trespass

Domenico G. Illiano, 21, of Oregon Avenue, East Haven, was arrested for simple trespass in connection with operating an all terrain vehicle on private property at 11:19 a.m. on Oct. 9.

Possession of Marijuana

Christopher Porto, 23, of North Branford, was charged with possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia on Oct. 9.

Under the Influence

Henry Condo, 25, of Cottage Road, Madison, was arrested for driving in the right-hand lane, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operation under the influence at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 10.

Reckless Driving and Criminal Mischief

Michael Colello, 21, of Branford Road, North Branford, was arrested for reckless driving and second-degree criminal mischief at 9 a.m. on Oct. 10.

Under the Influence

Erik M. Leiss, 54, of Mohawk Trail, Guilford, was arrested for passing on the right and operation under the influence at 4:05 p.m. on Oct. 10.
