All You Need to Know About North Branford's Upcoming Elections

The 2011 North Branford elections are a week from today–here's what you need to know.

Last week on Oct. 27, the North Branford Chamber of Commerce hosted a to give candidates seeking office in the upcoming election a platform to share a bit about themselves and the reasons they are running. North Branford Patch will be running the candidates' speeches throughout the week with featured yesterday.

Elections will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Of those running for Town Council, the candidate receiving the most votes will be mayor and the candidate receiving the second-most votes will be deputy mayor.

All six republicans running are incumbents including Angeloni, Anthony Candelora, Michael Doody, Don Fucci, Al Rose and Joanne Wentworth with Candelora being the current mayor and Doody as the deputy mayor.

Vincent Caprio, Andrew Esposito and Joseph Faughnan currently hold a seat on the Town Council. DellaCamera, Nick Demos and Ashley Clow Joiner are hoping for a seat. DellaCamera ran in 2009, as did Clow Joiner, who previously served on the Town Council.

There are three open seats on the Board of Education with Ed Corradino (D), Anthony Ferraiolo (D) and Lou Paternoster (R) on the ballot. Stephen Levine (D) and Jack Krasko (R) are seeking reelection as Town Constables.

This year, there are two polling places: District 1's polling location is at Jerome Harrison Elementary School, 335 Foxon Rd. (Route 80) in North Branford and District 2's polling location is at Stanley T. Williams, 1332 Middletown Ave. (Route 17) in Northford.
