It appears the debates between Linda McMahon and Chris Murphy have been more or less settled for now. While Murphy committed to nine debates leading up the November election, McMahon has agreed to the following four, according to her campaign.
- Oct. 7: hosted by WFSB on Face the State
- Oct. 11: hosted by Fox 61 and the Hartford Courant at the University of Connecticut
- Oct. 15: hosted by The Day and WTNH at the Garde Theater in New London
- Oct. 18: hosted by the Connecticut Broadcasters Association in Hartford
Rosa DeLauro (D) says that Democrats care about fixing the so-called “War on Drugs” but Reason, a libertarian magazine, says the congresswoman can’t offer any proof of this belief.
The magazine said that, “DeLauro wasn’t particularly interested in talking about the specifics of Obama's drug policy, returning again to his domestic policy agenda.” The article added, “She rejected the suggestion that the Obama administration was a disappointment on drugs, saying ‘I don’t buy that, no.’”
Wayne Winsley (R) shared a video of Fairfield County investor Peter Schiff posing as an anti-capitalism advocate at the Democratic National Convention. With his tongue firmly planted in cheek, Schiff finds people to agree that corporate profits should be banned. “You can’t make this stuff up,” Winsley said on Twitter.
