Judge Dismisses Doody's Lawsuit Against Town
But Doody's lawyer promised to re-file an amended complaint by next week.
A federal judge has dismissed the lawsuit against the town of filed by former deputy police chief , whose to close a budget gap.
The New Haven Register reported that the judge cited insufficient evidence as the grounds for dismissing the case, which argued that the town violated Doody’s constitutional right to due process by failing to notify him in advance of the decision.
According to the Register, Doody’s lawyer said the lawsuit would be amended and re-filed by next Tuesday, which would automatically reopen the case.
