The Town of North Branford's search for a new town manager has come to an end as a special meeting was held Tuesday, March 26, announcing Mike Paulhus as the new town manager.

All of the members of the Town Council voted in favor of Paulhus's hiring except for Vin Caprio, who noted, "I hope you prove me wrong."

After Paulhus signed his contract, which is effective on April 15 with an salary of $114,000 a year, he thanked the Council.

"I'm very appreciative of this opportunity – I didn't think I’d have the chance to work in North Branford again," said Paulhus, who was the interim town manager between Karl Kilduff and Richard Branigan. "I'm excited and I hope the Town Council is as well. I can’t wait to get started."

Paulhus will take over for from Bonnie Therrien, who has been the interim town manager since the July 10 Town Council meeting after the town made an "amicable split" with former town manager Richard Branigan.
