Senate Race: McMahon, Murphy Seek Female Voters

News and updates from the campaign trail in Connecticut.

The Nov. 6 elections are almost hear, and both Linda McMahon and Chris Murphy are doing what they can to win over female voters.

According to Reuters, McMahon rarely mentions her tenure as CEO for World Wrestling Entertainment. Murphy has described McMahon as anti-abortion, but doesn’t focus on the WWE.

Reuters reports:

A Quinnipiac survey released this week suggests Murphy might be winning the argument. After weeks of polling neck-and-neck with McMahon, he was ahead 49 percent to 43 percent, and taking a double-digit lead among women.
McMahon's campaign pointed to two other polls that called the race a dead heat.

Third District

Rosa DeLauro (D) is planning to visit the Pennslyvania Globe Gaslight Company in North Branford on Monday. She said on Twitter, “Manufacturing is crucial to CT's econ, middle class.”

Wayne Winsley (R) plans to attend a forum on Oct. 30 at 12:30 p.m. at the West Haven Senior Center.

Fifth District

Elizabeth Esty doubled down on her support of “Obamacare” in the hopes it will win her the election. According to CT News Junkie, Esty spoke in support of the Affordable Care Act at a press conference.

Her opponent, Andrew Roraback, hopes to repeal the law.

Fourth District

If you have not yet met candidate Wayne Winsley, please meet and spread the word about Winsley, running for Congress from the CT 3rd CD. You can meet Winsley at a rally today: 4:00 PM New Haven/Woodbridge Whalley Commons where Whalley becomes Amity. Park in Walgreens or your choice. 1471 Whalley Ave. Bring your own sign or we will provide them. T-shirts also available. Please share this information with other voters in the 3rd Congressional District: www.winsleyforcongress.org http://www.facebook.com/wayne.winsley Sun. 10/28, 9 - 11 a.m. at Congregation Mishkan Israel, at 785 Ridge Rd. in Hamden, Wayne will be participating in a Candidate Forum. DeLauro will be there, after snubbing voters in West Haven on Thurs. night at City Hall, choosing to campaign for Elizabeth Warren in MA yesterday. Wayne is the total opposite of career politician Rosa--a Navy vet, who came out of poverty and built a career in radio and then as a motivational speaker. Wayne is extremely personable, articulate, smart and Principled, a true man of Integrity, which is why "We All Win with Winsley"! Wayne is the perfect candidate to send 22 yr. incumbent, "career politician" DeLauro into retirement!

McMahon knows business - Murphy doesn't. With today's horrible economy, how can anyone chose Murphy again?

People, do your civic duty! Uphold your responsibility as participants in our democratic process! Do you know what that means? That means holding elected incumbents accountable! Down with Rosa DeLauro! Out with Larson! Away with Murphy! Expel Himes! Oust Courtney! They have collectively failed the people of the United States of America! They must be replaced with new legislators!
