North Branford Patch: What's something residents should know?
Schoonmaker:
Our distinguished guests from Group Cares completed work on six homes in Northford and North Branford and made lasting relationships and friendships with everyone they came in contact with in our school community and surrounding neighborhoods. Thank you to the 400 students who gave it their all to help these families. (Editor's note: story on this project to come!)

North Branford Patch: What's your favorite food?
Schoonmaker:  I support all food groups but tend to give too much attention to red meat. I need to do a better job acquainting myself to fruits and vegetables.
