Have You Thanked A Teacher This Week?

It's National Teacher Appreciation Week! How are you celebrating educators?

It's National Teacher Appreciation Week and parents and students throughout the country are celebrating the educators in their lives.

Teacher Appreciation Week runs from May 6 to May 10 and there many different ways you can show your appreciation to teachers.

As the room parent for both my kindergartner's and second-grader's Classes this year, I am trying to make this week extra special for their teachers.

We have already sent in freshly picked flowers and homemade muffins. I also sent home a note to the kids in each class asking them to make a card or a picture to give to their teacher this week.

Here are the gifts we have planned for the rest of the week-- hopefully they're not reading this so they will still be surprised!

1. Lunch bag with reusable containers. Teachers need to eat lunch, too, and I know we're always running out of lunch containers here. I especially like the one with its own dip canister included!

2. School supply box. Sure we sent some school supplies in at the beginning of the year, but as it's now May, many things are probably running low so I filled the storage box with classroom necessities such as pencils, erasers, highlighters, paperclips and more.

3. Movie night. With these great popcorn containers and a gift card to Redbox (thanks to my friend Kim for the great idea!), all I had to add was some microwave popcorn and some candy for a perfect at-home movie night.
