Local Students Graduate from URI

Six North Branford and Northford students recently graduated from University of Rhode Island.

At the University of Rhode Island's 126th Commencement on May 19 and 20, 2012, almost 3,000 undergraduate and 738 graduate students became the University's newest alumni.

The following local residents were among the students who received their undergraduate or graduate degrees:

  • Alison E. Dombrowski, a resident of North Branford, received a BSdegree in Marine Biology, cum laude.
  • Erica L. Giannelli, a resident of North Branford, received a BS degree in Communicative Disorders.
  • Melissa J. Tullo, a resident of North Branford, received a BA degree in English and a BA in Film Media, cum laude.
  • Michelle L. Di Lungo, a resident of Northford, received a BA degree in Communication Studies.
  • Michele Ann Guidone, a resident of Northford, received a PhD degree in Biological Sciences.
  • Jessica Anne Robinson, a resident of Northford, received a MA degree in Communication Studies.

Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.
