Movin' and Groovin' Summer Camp a Success in North Branford

Camp is coming to an end after a successful summer.

North Branford's Movin' and Groovin' Summer Camp is coming to a close and today, Aug. 18, is its last day. According to Director Lauren Barry, the reaction of the children–who range in age from those going into 1st grade to those going into 8th–is “they always want to be here more.”

Barry, a 1st-grade teacher at and associated with the summer program since its inception in 2002, says that the program had a total enrollment of 417 kids this year, up from previous years and meeting the goal of the school system, which organizes it.

Barry’s summation of this year’s camp: “Wonderful kids, wonderful staff; it was just a wonderful summer.”
