On October 12, the North Branford cross-country team participated in the Wickham Invitational 5k (3.1 miles) Cross Country Race at Wickham Park in Manchester. The boys' and girls' team were entered in the Unseeded Division.
The boys were among 374 runners and came in 11th place out of 50 schools entered and the girls competed against 305 runners coming in 33rd place among 41 schools.
The top finishers for the girls in the Varsity Unseeded Race were Marissa Bale in 73rd (23:39), Winnie Chan in 134th (24:54), Victoria Pawlak in 158th (25:24), Kirsten Madoule in 186th (26:01), Rachel Sauro in 197th (26:22) and Alana Cotton in 246th (29:29). In the Junior Varsity Race, Grace Carr finished at 31:22 and Jessica Munck 33:55.

The top finishers for the boys in the Varsity Unseeded Race were Zach Augur in 29th (18:19), Sean O’Connor in 30th (18:22), Keane Regan in 51st (18:47), Bobby Querfeld in 142nd (19:46), Isaac Cammarata in 206th (20:26), Richard Hernandez in 252nd (20:52) and Spencer Bryden in 272nd (21:13). In the Junior Varsity Race, Patrick Fisher finished at 22:43 and Austin Gibilisco at 22:59.
