All You Need to Know About the North Branford Potato & Corn Festival

Here's what you need to know about the PoCo Fest, which runs from Aug. 1 to Aug. 4.


The North Branford Potato and Corn Festival, or PoCo Fest as it's been dubbed, is finally here. The festival runs from Thursday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 4. There's no admission fee and free on-site parking is available on Thursday, as well as Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Free off-site parking with shuttles is available throughout the weekend from Stanley T. Williams off Route 17 in Northford or North Branford Intermediate School on Route 80.

So what's happening all weekend and where? In addition to the amusement rides, free games & contests (here's the schedule for those), food and craft & business expo throughout the weekend, here's the rundown of other special events (M=Main Stage, UF=upper field, T=tent, map attached):

Thursday, Aug. 1

  • 5:45 p.m. Jeffrey's Mother (music, M)
  • 6:30 p.m. BMX Bicycle Stunt Show (UF)
  • 7:30 p.m. Hula Hoop Performance (T)
  • 7:30 p.m. The G Network (music, M)
  • 8:30 p.m. Fire Breathers (M)
  • 9:30 p.m. Deception Fades (music, M)

Friday, Aug. 2

Saturday, Aug. 3

(Festival hours: 9 a.m.-10 p.m.)
  • 8 a.m. Tractor Pull Weigh-in
  • 9 a.m-6 p.m.: Tractor Pull (rain date, Sunday 11a)
  • 1-5:30 p.m. Hayrides (M)
  • 1:30 p.m. The Kerry Boys (music, T)
  • 3:30 p.m. Common Ground (music, T)
  • 5:30 p.m. Annie and the Mixers (music, M)
  • 7:30 p.m. Shaded Soul (music, M)
  • 9:30 p.m. Fireworks (over M, seating in upper field)

Sunday, Aug. 4

  • 1 p.m. Cow Chip Raffle-Cows released (football field)
  • 1:30 p.m. 42nd Street (music, M)
  • 4 p.m. All Summer Long (Beach Boys Tribute Band, music, M)
