A Weekend of Giving in North Branford and Northford

There are several chances to do some good around town this weekend.

This weekend in and around North Branford, you have the chance to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, give a shelter animal a home, walk for St. Jude or attend a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Girls' Soccer Thinks Pink

The North Branford High School , which has been supporting  by wearing pink socks throughout October, will host a during Saturday's game against Cromwell at 6:30 p.m. There will be a bake sale and raffle to benefit the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation.

Adopt a Pet

The New Haven Animal Shelter heads to on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an . There will also be a pet Halloween costume contest.

Walk-a-Thon

Danielle Stefania, a 12-year-old from East Haven, has been working with her father from North Branford to host a walkathon for St. Jude Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Haven High School Track Field. Click for information on walking or sponsoring Danielle.
