Are You Ready for Holiday Fairs?

If you're ready to get in the holiday spirit, hit up one of the many holiday fairs this weekend.

A sure sign that the holidays are fast-approaching is a weekend full of holiday fairs. Get a head start on your holiday shopping and enjoy some lunch at these fairs scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 19.

Holiday Bazaar

The will host its annual from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be handmade hats, scarves, afghans, blankets and more; personalized ornaments, a kids' corner, holiday wreaths, vintage jewelry, a teacup raffle and a pocketbook table.

The Holiday Bazaar will also feature a gingerbread house contest and will have fresh pies and baked goods available at the 'bakery.'

Holly Fair

The also runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. New raffle prizes this year include an iPad 2, a Stop&Shop gift card, a handmade quilt and a 'Taste of North Branford' prize pack. There will also be gift basket raffles.

The Holly Fair also features a White Elephant Room, a jewelry table, Better Treasures, Country Crafts and a children's room where Santa will be visiting between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. 

There will also be plenty to eat with the Cafe Noel serving lunch, baked goods aplenty in the Bakery and Cookie Walk and other foods to go in the Country Kitchen.

Other Local Craft Fairs

Lynn Clark also noted in the comments of this week's '' that will host its Christmas Bazaar with food, raffles, gifts and more from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19 and from 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20. According to Zion Episcopal Church's newsletter, its Holiday Fair will also be held on Nov. 19.

Haven't had enough after the North Branford fairs? Head to the in East Haven from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Holiday Food and Clothing Drive

Looking to give a little back? John’s Refuse & Recycling, Global Environmental and 3B Ranch are holding the first annual “” holiday food drive and gently used winter clothing drive for local food pantries and local homeless shelters with a collection point at the Northford Store from 1 to 5 p.m.
