At the latest Board of Ed meeting, Lynn Riordan gave JHS's Night to Care a helping hand.

is already looking ahead to the holiday season with its Night to Care program and the program got a big boost at the Oct. 20 Board of Education meeting when Lynn Riordan of  (on Twitter @18Mattsmission) presented Night to Care chairperson Jackie Rodriquez with $1,500 to help with the program.

Night to Care provides gifts for families in need. Residents can choose a snowman from the display in the school's lobby with a child’s gender and age in order to provide gifts for the holiday season.

The program also provides food for holiday meals and will hold a food drive at Stop & Shop in Branford on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
