Celebrate the Fourth of July and More North Branford Events This Week

It's a short work-week for most with the Fourth of July. What are you doing to celebrate? Here are some ideas.


Here are some things to know about the coming week in North Branford. For a full list of stuff to do, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Celebrate the Fourth of July: Check out our map of area fireworks displays! And town facilities, including Town Hall and the libraries, are closed on Thursday, July 4. 

2. North Branford Town Meetings for the week include  Economic Development Commission and Agricultural Commission on Monday, July 1 and the application deadline for the Aug. 1 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting is Friday, July 5.

3. Events at the Library: The adults "Groundbreaking Reading" program begins on July 1.  Here's the full list of programs, including a schedule of children's activities.

4. Looking Ahead: Fill-A-Cruiser is Saturday, July 6 to benefit the town food banks; Durham Co-op Nursery School SUMMER CAMP Program begins on Monday, July 8 and registration is underway; Girl Scouts of CT Summer Library Program (weekly) and the North Branford Art Society Art Show are Thursday, July 11.
