T-Birds Head to Postseason, Library Programs and More Events in North Branford This Week

As we head into the final week of May, there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy in North Branford.


Here are five things to know about the coming week in North Branford. For a full list of stuff to do, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Library Events: Head to the Smith Library for "Healthy Foods for Healthy Hearts" on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. and for a Probate Information presented by Tom Perrone on Thursday, May 23 at 2 p.m. A Social Security Benefits Workshop will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m.

2. NBHS Sports: The North Branford T-Birds head into the postseason with the Shoreline Golf Tournament on Monday, May 20 and the Shoreline Outdoor Track Championship on Thursday, May 22. Pairings for the state championship will be announced later this week on the CIAC's website. 

3. North Branford Town Meetings for the week include the Park and Recreation Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals on Monday, May 20; Town Council on Tuesday, May 21 and the IWWA Meeting on Wednesday, May 22.

4. Honor Them with a Flag: The North Branford Women’s Club, Inc. GFWC/CT is sponsoring an Honor Them With a Flag fundraising event as a salute to our country’s military personnel and veterans or a loved one. Flags are available for purchase and will be displayed in front of Town Hall through Memorial Day.
 
5. Looking Ahead: NBHS Talent Show on Friday, May 31; Knights of Columbus Giant Flee Market/Tag Sale and Neighborhood Tag Sale on Saturday, June 1; 13th Annual Touch-A-Truck and Sally Andersen-Bruce Shelter Pet Photo & Stamp Exhibit on Sunday, June 2.
