Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale and More Weekend Events in North Branford

Get some new summer reads, enjoy strawberries, cast a line and more events in North Branford this weekend.


Looking at the weekend forecast, it looks like it might be a little wet with the sun coming out on Sunday. If the rain holds out on Friday, you can hed to Cruise Nights at Central Plaza. Looking for some good reads for the summer? Head to the Friends of the Library Annual Book Sale at Jerome Harrison from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Natureworks always has fun things happening! This weekend, there's a fun free garden walk with Nancy at Natureworks on Saturday, June 8 at 9:30 a.m. and on Sunday, June 9, Diane St. John will speak on "Making Meadows" at 1 p.m. 

Or maybe you want to enjoy some sweet treats? The Strawberry Festival at Stony Creek Congretational begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 8.

Earlier in the week, residents shared some of the great local spots to go fishing. If you cast a line and reel in a big one (or even a little one!), take a moment to share a photo on our Around Town board!
