Rotary Shredding Day and More Weekend Events in North Branford

It's already the middle of June and Father's Day is this Sunday – how are you celebrating dad? If the rain holds out on Friday, you can head to Cruise Nights at Central Plaza. And of course, there's tag-saling. Here's Patch's tag sale round-up.

If you're looking to get out of town, you can head to the Branford Green for the 2013 Branford Festival, which is June 14 to 16 with the Branford Road Race on Sunday, June 16. Other local events this weekend are listed below. Saturday, June 15

• Rotary Club Shredding Event at North Branford Town Hall beginning at 8:30 a.m.
• The Antique tractor pull at Rose Orchards has been postponed due to mud. A new date will be announced. 
• Open House at the Robin I. Kroogman Animal Shelter in New Haven beginning at 12:30 p.m.
• Electronics Recycling Drive at Long Wharf Theater parking lot beginning at 9 a.m.

Father's Day

• Jerome Riley (sang with the Platters) sings for Veterans at The Gables at Guilford at 2:30 p.m.
• What are you doing to celebrate dad today?
