Meet Frank Apuzzo: Owner of Pastry Fusions

Frank Apuzzo introduces himself and his family business in North Branford to Patch.

If you've ever visited Pastry Fusions, you know that just walking through the door is an experience in and of itself. The scent of hundreds of cakes, cookies, pastries, handmade donuts, truffles and stuffed breads is strong enough to knock you off your feet. I would imgaine this is what Santa Claus' work shop smells like. Owner Frank Apuzzo is discussing cakes with two patrons as I peruse the cookies and big donuts that put Dunkin' very much to shame. My wedding cake was from Pastry Fusions!! Frank was amazing to work with! After visiting many other bakeries, Frank was the only one who was willing to create the cake I wanted! And it was delicious and beautiful!! Also, quite affordable! We love going for the delicious donuts on the weekend!   more ›

A Day in the Life: Frank Apuzzo, Baker

For seven years, Frank Apuzzo has owned and operated Pastry Fusions, located at 999 Foxon Road in North Branford.

North Branford Patch: How did you first become interested in baking? Frank Apuzzo: One day when I was 13 or 14 years old, I was sitting on the couch watching a show called Great Chefs and there was this guy on who was making cakes and frosting them with butter cream. I used to watch Great Chefs, Frugal Gourmet, Cookin’ Cajun and Yan Can Cook. I was always interested in cooking. I cooked with my mother and my grandmother. I just always had a knack for it.
