3 Questions for Fire Chief William Seward: September

North Branford Fire Chief Seward on the newly remounted ambulance, a new fire commissioner and more.

North Branford Patch: What's new with the North Branford Fire Department?
Fire Chief William Seward: The North Branford Fire Department recently accepted delivery of the remounted ambulance Medic 4 that was refurbished by American Emergency Vehicles of Jefferson, North Carolina. The patient compartment was renovated with many new safety features as well as making the work area for our paramedic user friendly. The old 2006 chassis was removed and a new 2013 International chassis installed. A complete new graphics package features an American flag built into the federally required "Star of Life" emblems and highly reflective markers on the rear of the ambulance that will soon answer EMS calls in our town. The cost for remounting the unit saved taxpayers approximately $100,000.

North Branford Patch: What is something residents should know?
Fire Chief William Seward: The Town Council recently appointed Mr. Kenneth Ash to the Board of Fire Commissioners. Mr. Ash replaced long time Commissioner Angelo Tosi.

North Branford Patch: What's your favorite thing about fall?
Fire Chief William Seward: Enjoying the cool temperatures and sitting by a camp fire at sundown.
