Electronics Recycling Drive 6/15

Saturday June 15th, 9am-12pm Long Wharf Theater parking lot, 222 Sargent Drive, New Haven CT Bring your unwanted electronics to the Long Wharf Theater parking lot, 222 Sargent Drive in New Haven on Saturday, June 15th, 2013. This Electronics Recycling Drive fundraiser, organized in conjunction with Green Monster e-Cycling, will support the CT RollerGirls, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and local Roller Derby league. Items accepted include televisions, computers, monitors, printers, fax machines, toner/ink cartridges, washing machines/dryers, video game consoles, dishwashers, telephones, household appliances, stereo equipment, medical equipment, cables, wiring, iPods, server racks, mainframes, and more. It's crucial that we recycle our old electronics - e-waste in landfills contaminates our water supply and atmosphere with lead and mercury, which causes damage to our nervous systems, blood, and kidneys. CTRG cannot accept household batteries; appliances with refrigerant (dehumidifiers, air conditioners, refrigerators, etc); or light bulbs. Recycling fees range from $2 to $10 depending on the size of the item. Discounts are available for larger quantities.
