Letter: James Dwyer Suggests Adding a Farmer's Market to North Branford
Do you think a farmer's market would make a nice addition to town?
The following is a letter to the editor submitted by James Dwyer.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a farmer's market started on the Augur Farm on Forest Road this coming fall after the Corn and Potato Festival in August?
Each farm in town could sign up for only a weekend since there are so many farms. This can be done on a small scale at the beginning for this year. There are several agricultural farms in North Branford that could get plenty of exposure during the months of September and October on the town property.
North Branford has an excellent agricultural background with the beautiful farms that need some positive publicity.
Besides in the fall, there are several football games taking place on the weekends nearby the Augur Farm.
Our town is an agricultural desired town to live in and enjoy the fruits of the farmers' labor at an ideal location-- the Augur Farm.
