Mark Your Calendars: Smith Library Fall Fest Is Set!

Save Wednesday, Oct. 23 for a day of fun at the Smith Library with food, costumes, birds of prey and more!

The Sugar Bakery Cupcake Truck has certainly been a hit on its visits to the Smith Library in Northford. Did you miss it? Do you love it and want more? Well, it's coming back, but it won't be alone.

On Wednesday, Oct. 23, you can head to the Smith Library for a Fall Festival starting at 5 p.m.

"There will be food trucks galore in the parking lot," said Debbie Verrillo, children's librarian.

There will be several options for dinner before you enjoy dessert from Sugar, including Rough House American Food Truck, Whey Station Grilled Cheese Truck and Ron’s Kitchen Hot Food Truck.

The library will also be offering free cider. Children are encouraged to come dressed up in costume, too!

"If it is a warm night, bring lawn chairs and we will picnic in the parking lot with our delicious food," said Verrillo. "If it is a chilly night, bring a blanket anyway and we will have an indoor picnic downstairs in the Children’s Room."

The fun doesn't stop at dinner and dessert. At 6:30 p.m., A Place Called Hope will present a "Birds of Prey" program, teaching about owls and other
raptors.

RSVP in person or by phone and 203-484-0469.
