Tilcon Quarry Tour
The TOTOKET HISTORICAL SOCIETY is sponsoring a bus tour of the Tilcon Quarry at the corner of Route 80 and 22 in North Branford on Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30 pm. This is an opportunity to visit the quarry, ask questions of the Tilcon guides and walk around the quarry floor. It is an amazing operation that you can usually only imagine when passing by on Route 80.
The cost is $15 per adult or child and reservations are confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Parking is available at the North Branford Town Hall (across the street) and buses will leave from there. For information and reservations call Florence at 203-484-5072 after 6 pm or Cappy at 203-484-2133 during the day. Proceeds go toward the upkeep of the old buildings in North Branford under the care of the Historical Society.This is an experience that is interesting for both adults and children. Don't miss out! Seats are limited and sell out early.
